New lockbox ship The Veridian. The in-game version is smaller then the on-screen one, but its still the biggest ship in the game by far. They haven't tested running 5 of these in the Breach, but since its thinner then the ENT-J it fits
The model they got from CBS had all the parts and textures needed. Did need to fill some holes in the model that existed since you never saw that area on screen. The ship model for the show was built similarly to how they build ships for STO, so even the texture is basically the texture used on the show. The turrets on the ship will all target the target you have selected, and will dynamically move as your ship moves to keep on target. The turrets are the actual ship hard-points. If you use beam fire at will the turrets will all target the various targets.
STO ships have 45 default hard-points for weapons, and this ship just so happened to have 45 cannons, so it worked out. Cryptic is looking into applying getting this tech for the Veridian elsewhere in the game, but no promises
New weapons are plasma damage. Come with the ship(non upgradeable) and the Emerald Chain lockbox. Weapon pack also has a vanity shield for this ship's material.
Console - Universal - Programmable Matter Projectors: 20% increases canon damage. +24.2 starship exotic particle generator. 90* cone phys damage, disable impulse, -energy DRR. 180* targeting arc. 7371 physical damage. 49,533.4 physical damage over 15 seconds. -10 energy damage resistance rating for 15 seconds. Disables impulse engines for 15 seconds. 2 Minute recharge
Trait - Lash of the Chain: Periodically negate shared cooldown for cannon firing modes. The first cannon firing mode used negates the shared 15 second recharge time for cannon firing modes(45s recharge)
Ship class is Intel Juggernaut. Like a Dred but without hanger bays. While the ship was hollow in the show we never saw it launch fighters to justify making it have a hanger bay. The ship has a battle cloak
Veridian Juggernaut Array: shoots a giant plasma ball in front of your ship. Disables any ship it encounters.
Would love to do cross-play, but when STO's console version was made the various companies weren't cooperating with each other, and trying to do it now just wouldn't work since it wasn't built for it.
Jeremy wants to look into revamping Intel abilities, specifically the gather intel mechanic, at some point in the future. But he didn't have time to do it for this release.
New event ship: Fed/Rom Jarok class alliance carrier. Merged the Romulan D'deridex design with the Federation saucer for the design. Ship has ship name in both Federation and Klingon on it. Originally had so many details they went past their polygon count limit so had to turn it down for the final model. Ship has an alliance cloak, not a battle cloak
Ship has Alliance squadron fighter pets. Can also equip frigate pets. Pets are based on concept art for a runabout or something similar John Eaves did. Made to look like they could land on a planet, and have a back door/ramp that could open up. Fighter pets have focused assault power. Tweaked the power because originally having multiple of the effect on an enemy didn't do anything. Now you can proc it multiple times
Tech for full squadron ships is close, but need a bit more software time
Will continue to do alliance ships as anniversary rewards unless they come up with something better
Console - Universal - Sensor Suspension Burst: +2.9% critical chance. +7.6 auxiliary power setting. Team-Wide placate and critical hit buff for pets. To seld an allied players withing 20km *20% critical hit chance for 5 seconds. Resets hanger bay recharge time. To player hanger pets and summons within 20km. 30% critical hit chance for 20 seconds. Placate foes within 10km for 20 seconds. 1min 40sec recharge.
Trait - Backup Shield Batteries: Drain Boff abilities enable shield facing regen. Activating a drain BOFF power builds a charge(max once per 15 seconds) If any shield facing reaches zero fully restores that shield facing. Removes one charge(may store 4 max)
Jeremy has been reading the feedback about about science carriers needing a boost. He sort of agrees, but suggestions like a third hanger bay, or a secondary deflector, ripple out to other ship types. Its an ongoing discussion on what needs to be done.
Its possible consoles for alliance ships might get a set bonus if they make a 4th alliance ship as thats approaching set territory.
Originally wanted to use both singularity and matter-antimatter drives, but the tech wasn't able to be completed. Making it use only singularity would prove a negative for Fed/Klingon players who don't have access to as many singularity powers/stuff to make them work as Romulans do. If they ever get the dual warp core tech to work Jeremy wants to retrofit the ship to use both.
Because Prodigy is both a CBS show and a Nickelodeon show Cryptic isn't sure how available that stuff is to use, and are looking into it before doing anything. Protostar will be difficult to do because the scaling is weird.
California class is coming. Can't confirm when.
